FlowerMoundOnline is a website about life in Flower Mound, Texas and all it has to offer. The Businesses, the Food, the Wine, the Churches, the Hair Salons, the gas stations and even the many grocery stores. FlowerMoundOnline is about trying new restaurants, exploring new shops, staying up-to-date on new developments, finding new opinions, and keeping you up to date on one of DFW’s premier communities’.

There are some great forum based websites with a lot of back and forth between constituents. Far more of us visit these sites than post on them. We hope to bring you the news of our town, area and world, and we prefer the good news. There are plenty of ways to get the bad news every day-TV News, Newspapers, and more.

FlowerMoundOnline is a cityblog by the people, for the people. It’s a place to celebrate everything we love about this town, and why we call Flower Mound home. We can always use reporters interested in making regular contributions. They may be anonymous or you may be credited. Your choice!

How This Site Works

FlowerMoundOnline is a website that focuses on life in Flower Mound, TX with daily stories, trivia, reviews, and photos. How we operate:

  • This site is maintained by volunteer writers who believe in our mission. Want to volunteer?
  • The writers on this site cover stories that appeal to them personally. If we don’t cover something, it’s because nobody wanted to, or we simply didn’t know about it.
  • We do not have an editor, editorial board or editorial meetings like newspapers. Writers say what they want which means that one writer may contradict another writer.
  • Writers will sometimes misspell things or get facts wrong. Nobody’s checking. Each individual writer is responsible for their own work.
  • The site is loosely maintained by a group of organizers who answer email, troubleshoot the website, and implement new ideas.

What we are:

  • We are regular people who love living in Flower Mound.
  • We are from all walks of life — single, married, young, old, newcomers, and locals.
  • We are individuals with opinions and ideas.
  • We are people who write because it’s fun.
  • We are people who want to contribute to something that celebrates the uniqueness of life in Flower Mound.

What we are NOT:

  • We are not an open “free for all” message board like Craigslist. (Comments are sometimes moderated to maintain a useful discussion).
  • We are not a government website.
  • We are not politicians.
  • We do not work for the City, nor do we work for a local newspaper, radio or TV station.
  • We are not Dallas. We are not Lewisville or Southlake. We are Flower Mound and proud of it.
