You know the advice: Drink eight glasses of water each day to help you lose weight. But getting all that water down can be a drag. And flavored bottled waters often contain extra calories, sodium, and artificial sweeteners. Solutions? Make your own fruit-flavored water.
At Atlanta’s Four Seasons hotel, Executive Chef Robert Gerstenecker helps guests rehydrate after workouts with refreshing citrus water. You can make a pitcher and keep it in the fridge for up to five days.
The following is the recipe:
16 cups (1 gallon) water
2 Large Lemons, sliced
1 large orange, sliced
Instructions:
1. Combine water with fruits slices in a large pitcher and chill 1-2 hours.
2. Strain out fruit after 2 hours. Pour water into large glass and serve.
Enjoy!!
