Progress!
Northbound FM2499 is open from Spinks road, south of FM3040 up to FM1171! Woo Hoo! And what a difference it made driving it this evening. People were switching lanes all over the place like they didn’t know what to do with the new found freedom. And guaging by the average speed of traffic on that stretch, the FMPD will have found a new and improved revenue source!
The southbound stretch is being cleaned and striped so we expect that to be open within the next week. Work will continue on new traffic lights for several intersections.
