Toll Rates Going Up Sept 29th

If you don’t already have a TollTag, this might be a good time to get one. Beginning Sept 29th, 2007, the rates are going up.

If you’re still stopping and paying cash, rates will generally increase by $.25 in most cases.

For Tolltag customers, the increase will only be $.10 and don’t forget that TollTag rates area already lower than cash rates. So, cash travelers currently paying 75 cents will now pay $1. Prices still vary at each ramp.

Since TollTags have no direct cost, other than the toll charges, there’s no reason to not get one. The easiest way to get one is just to order online at www.ntta.org or to call the NTTA at 972-818-NTTA. We’ve found their online support is highly responsive. And did you know you can have multiple TollTags on the same account for convenience?

NTTA advises that tolls on the System have been adjusted five times since 1968. Most recently, rates on the Bush Turnpike were increased from 50 cents to 75 cents in 2002. In 1999, differential rates were introduced for transactions collected electronically through TollTags and cash on the Tollway.

TollTag customers also enjoy the convenience of managing their account on-line and not having to search for cash to pay their tolls. Plus, TollTag customers can travel through any lane when traveling NTTA roadways, as well as use their TollTag at DFW airport.

A few roads such as the Addison Tunnel will remain unchanged at 50 cents. Check the NTTA website for details.
