Work continues on the Landscaping, and several unopened stores, but shoppers have found out about the Shops of Highland Village. The first phase opened on Thursday, Sept 27, 2007 with many more to come.
It’s an impressive list of shopping and dining places. While only a couple of restaurants have opened so far (Corner Bakery and Pot Belly Sandwiches), one of the nice features we see in coming restaurants here is Alfresco Dining, that’s dining on the patio!

Not all businesses were ready for the Grand Opening celebration, but there were enough to create a traffic jam in the area! We noticed city officials adjusting traffic lights and feverishly working to balance the flow. The shopping center has extensive security visibly present throughout the area and were at several intersections assisting with traffic directions.
