I’m sure we’re among the first to report it…mainly because it’s affecting us personally. It’s 10pm, Thursday Dec 27, 2007 and we’re awaiting a flight scheduled to depart from DFW traveling to Orlando. The American Airlines flight was supposed to leave at 8:10pm and it’s been continuously delayed.
Now we were just advised by AA crew that the flight is delayed yet again…because the baggage handlers have decided they had worked too long and too hard and were going home. AA officials are looking for people to load our luggage on the plane. We’ll keep you posted…you heard it here first! LOL.

OK, it’s 10:10pm now and the plane is pulling away from the gate, 2 hours late. We saw men and women down on the tarmac loading our luggage who were dressed in uniforms that looked like they may have actually been gate agents, flight attendants, and pilots. There were 3 delayed flights to Orlando and they were just putting hundreds of bags on any of the planes headed that way.
Upon arriving in Orlando, our guests discovered some of their bags had actually been sent ahead on earlier flights, but none of their bags were on their specific flight. After awaiting a while longer at the Orlando airport, the remainder of their bags arrived on the next flight (at almost 2:30am EST for a flight that should have arrived at 11:30pm!)
