Visit Highland Village on Saturday, June 7, 2008 for the Annual Highland Village Days celebration. In what is proclaimed as the city’s largest special event, enjoy a Texas Country Music Festival, Fireworks extravaganza, and great food.
Festivities begin at 7AM at Unity Park with a 1K and 5K Run and from 9-11 am participate in a Family Fish Out. Bring your fishing poles.
Beginning Saturday evening, the action switches to Copperas Branch Park where the gates open at 5pm and entertainment will be provided by Wade Bowen (6:30pm) and Reckless Kelly (8:15pm). Additionally for kids, there will be a bounce house, face painting and clowns.
Then shortly after dark, the Grand Finale Fireworks will begin. Admission to all is FREE! There is free parking in designated areas around each park, as well as a free shuttle from Marcus High School. Bring your folding chairs and blankets. Sorry, no pets, glass containers, alcoholic beverages or coolers permitted.
Copperas Branch Park is located adjacent to I-35 at Lake Lewisville and the Garden Ridge exit (454B). Note, the 454B southbound exit will be closed from 9pm-Midnight!
