The first suspect entered the Tom Thumb, acting as if he were going to purchase items, and when the clerk opened the cash register, grabbed a handful of cash.

He fled the store and jumped into a vehicle driven by the second suspect.  An employee chased him out into the parking lot and attempted to remove the suspect from the car but was knocked down as the suspect vehicle fled the scene.  The employee was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

FMPD officers located the suspect vehicle in Lewisville.  The suspect vehicle failed to yield and a pursuit ensued involving both the Flower Mound and Lewisville Police Departments.  The vehicle finally stopped on HWY 121 in Grapevine due to heavy traffic where both suspects were taken into custody.
