According to police reports, a woman was pulled over on SH114 by Texan Trail in Grapevine Sunday, 7/27/2008 around 5:30am by a car pulling up behind her with flashing red lights.
After pulling over, a man wearing a dark-colored uniform came up to her window asking her to step out of her vehicle. Not noticing any sign of a badge, the women became suspicious and sped away, calling police.
According to Grapevine police Sgt. Kim Smith, no Grapevine or other area police agencies have reported making a traffic stop in that area at that time, Sgt. Smith said. Officials are investigating the police impersonator. The man was driving a white car with red lights on the front of the vehicle, police said.
The woman described him as a white man with blonde crewcut hair and about 6-feet-2-inches tall.
