Mosquite spraying operations scheduled for Tuesday, August 21 in the Timberview Estates subdivision of Flower Mound have been rescheduled for 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 30 through 4:00 a.m. on Friday, August 31.
The Texas Department of Health Services has confirmed that a mosquito in the Timberview Estates subdivision,
(SouthWest of Marcus High near Morris Rd) has tested positive for West Nile virus. This is the second positive test for the virus in Flower Mound this year. Residents in neighborhoods being sprayed will be notified with community signs and are advised to stay inside with pets and children during the sprayings. FLOWER MOUND – City workers will spray for a mosquitoes tonight after a mosquito was found to be carrying the West Nile virus in the Estates of Tour 18 subdivision, according to a city statement. Residents will be notified by signs. Spraying will begin at 10 p.m. and continue until 4 a.m. Saturday. Residents should cover fish ponds and keep pets indoors.
