As many as 75 Hot Air Balloons will be on display and will take to the sky as Plano celebrates their Annual Balloon Festival. We could not find details on how many years this festival has been around, but we remember going to it about 25 years ago, and it has grown to be one of the premier festivals of it’s kind in the US.
There will be parachute team exhibitions, balloon glows, balloon launches, an “Elvis” concert, street dances. The show is also well known for many uniquely shaped balloons.
As you might guess, there will also be many, many food and craft vendors, exhibits and kids activities. This is a great opportunity bring the family out for a fun day or evening.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
This is a quirky and playful musical about, what else…a spelling bee!Imagine your school spelling bee, if all the contestants had the wit and whimsy enough to express their feelings through spontaneous acts of musical theatre. Should we be concerned about surfing the net? As an avid computer user and one of the earliest ’surfers’, even long before the internet, remember BBS’s, Compuserve, campus nets and ARPANET. Back in the early 90’s, I had the opportunity to meet with Vinton Cerf, credited as being one of the fathers of the Internet.

What is a Lunar Eclipse?
