The widening of FM2499 from FM1171North to FM 407 has begun. Construction began October 29, 2007, and will continue for 24 months.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is widening the existing two lane roadway to a six lane divided thoroughfare as far north as FM 407.
And yes, there is a Phase 4. This phase proposes the construction of a new four-lane divided roadway from FM 407 northbound to FM 2181, a distance of 4.7 miles. Sufficient right-of-way would be acquired to allow for its eventual expansion to an ultimate six-lane divided urban arterial.

Join your friends at the Double Oak Town Hall for their tree lighting ceremony, Monday, Nov 26th at 6:45pm.
The Town Hall is located at Waketon and Kings Road, directly west of Downing Middle School in Bridlewood.
If you’ve lived in the DFW area long, you probably know that Neiman Marcus downtown, their annually unique Christmas tree, and secret holiday window are the epitome of the Christmas season launch here.
On Friday, Nov 16th starting at 6:30pm the festivities begin this year in downtown Dallas, beginning with Neiman Marcus and spreading to other downtown businesses, with strolling performers, lighting of multiple buildings and highlighted with a special visitor and concert by Eddie Coker.

The Town of Flower Mound sponsors the “Dorothy’s Dash” to honor her memory, share her example with others who may suffer this terrible disease, and to raise funds to combat Multiple Sclerosis.

Lewisville Parks and Leisure Services will hold a free Stargazers astronomy program from 7 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, at Memorial Park, 1950 S. Valley Parkway.
