In it’s 21st annual celebration, the Highland Village Balloon and Music Festival once again returns to the community. Benefiting the Lions Club, this is a great opportunity to come out and experience the excitement and at the same time, serenity of hot-air ballooning. There will be live entertainment, sky divers, great food, arts and crafts booths, kids activities, and of course, lots of balloons throughout the weekend. Visit www.hvballoonfest.com for more information and the schedule of events.
After being canceled last year due to the high lake levels and flooding in Copperas Branch Park in Highland Village we are excited to see this event return to the community.

The Blue Goose Cantina chain has opened their newest restaurant in the Shops of Highland Village, across the street from the AMC Theater. We dropped in for lunch recently to check it out on a busy Saturday. Walking into the fourth of the local chain’s locations, we found it, like the original location in Lower Greenville, already full of Blue Goose faithfuls. Their patio on the east (Shady) side of the restaurant is a great place to sit and enjoy a refreshing cold beverage of choice and watch the kids play in the run-through fountain.
