In conjunction with the performance of Alice in Wonderland by the Marcus High School Theater Arts Department, Children are invited to attend a Mad Tea Party before the Saturday, November 7 matinee starting at 1 p.m. Tickets for this event are $10 for children and $15 for adults. This includes the tea party and a ticket to the show. They will have a chance to meet and chat with the characters, tour the theater and stay for the show. Reservations for the Mad Tea Party are taken up to 24 hours before the event. Tickets include the tea party and the show. Performances of Alice in Wonderland are November 5, 6, 7 and 8 at the Larry Sigler Auditorium at Marcus High School located at 5707 Morriss Road in Flower Mound. Show times are 7:30 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 2:30 on Saturday and Sunday. Ticket prices are $12 for adults, $8 for seniors and students and $5 for children 5 and under. Pre-sale tickets are available. Tickets can also be purchased at the box office outside auditorium 45 minutes before the show begins. Audiences are invited to the children’s world of make-believe, where the impossible becomes possible, the unreal, real, and where the heights of adventure are limited only by the depths of imagination. The show runs November 5-8.

The Cross Timbers Artists’ Guild will host the 8th annual Artists’ Studio Tour on Saturday, November 7th (10am – 5pm) and Sunday, November 8th (Noon – 5pm) 2009. The opening reception will be Friday, November 6th (7pm – 9pm) at the NEW Cross Timbers Artists’ Guild Gallery in the Shops at Highland Village, N/W corner of FM 2499 & Hwy 407 (next to James Avery). Public Welcome.
This year, local artists will be joined by new artists who live and create original works of art in the Cross Timbers area of North Texas. A wide array of media are represented, including: ceramics, mosaics, photography, paintings in oils, acrylics, watercolor, and collage, hand made books, quilts, woven fabrics, blown glass, custom furniture, wood workers, stained glass, metal sculptures, and much more.
